I learn from the past, embrace the present, and push ahead into the future.

Everything I aim for is based on something that I have learned about life in the past.

I have made mistakes and I have learned valuable lessons. Not only have they shown me what I need to avoid, but what I need to aim for. The negative experiences in my life are blessings in disguise. They helped shape my ambition and understanding of life. I only know what I want because of my many painful life lessons.

I am not embarrassed by my mistakes and I refuse to run away from them. They are as valuable to me as my victories. They are trophies of another breed. I accept them, value them, and learn from them. I use the hard times of my life to better appreciate the present and to direct myself into the future.

I enjoy seeing situations from my past repeat themselves. I am encouraged by my ability to handle them differently the second time around. This shows me that I can improve and evolve as a person.

Questions of Reflection:

1. What about my past can help me with my future?
2. Do I value my mistakes as much as my successes?
3. Am I able to avoid repeating my mistakes?

I open the door of peace and happiness with the key of love and communication.

The connections I build with other people have a great deal to do with my own sense of self-confidence and happiness. When I am confident in who I am, I am better able to step out of my shell and embrace the world. When I am unsure of myself, my relationships suffer.

Deep interpersonal relationships can be nurtured through honesty and openness.
No one really knows what is going on in my head, including myself sometimes. When they don’t understand what I am going through, our ability to relate and connect suffers. If I am feeling down, I should let my loved ones know. When they hurt my feelings, I should make it clear. They will appreciate the honesty, and will do what they can to make things better.

Find out what they are going through. Be supportive and understanding. Many times, people don’t really know what it is that they are going through. They need to talk about it. I can lend an ear. The two of us will come to understand each other on a deeper level.

Be open to honesty. Criticism can help me to see myself in a new light. Sometimes I am deaf to my own words and blind to my own actions. It’s only when others point them out that I can see myself in a new light.

Questions Of Reflection:

1. Am I open to others honest opinions?
2. Are my relationships based on and nourished by truthfulness?
3. Do I make an effort to communicate my feeling and seek out others?

I focus all of my power and energy on the positive.

I live each and every day as the person I know I want to be. I don’t let anyone define me. I define myself. I understand that I am a winner. I know that I can achieve everything I want to achieve. This confidence leads to excitement. I can’t wait for the results that I know are soon to arrive. This excitement leads to even further motivation and positive thinking. I then see results, and the cycle of success continues.

I let my imagination drift off and satisfy itself with images of success. This revitalizes my spirit with hope and anticipation. I see myself stronger, wiser, and happier.

I allow myself to imagine all sorts of dreams, even those bordering on the absurd. I see myself earning millions, in perfect physical shape, and on top of the world. This clears my head and focuses my energies. I find myself moving in this direction rather than just dreaming of it.

When I let myself think in this way, time starts to flow, my mind starts to hum, and my productivity improves. I see myself accomplishing things I never imagined I could accomplish. Each accomplishment brings with it an improved sense of confidence.

This confidence lets me dream even bigger dreams. As each dream comes true, I’m in a better position to accomplish the next.

Questions of Reflection:

1. Do you know what kinds of thoughts you tend to have throughout the day?
2. Are these thoughts positive?
3. Do your thoughts motivate you to feel better about yourself and achieve more?
